Innovation parks are a phenomenon expanding globally. The vast majority are born alongside a university, establishing a key connection with talent for the park’s development. In the local case of Buenos Aires, which is the first in Argentina, ITBA will be the first university constructed in the park, and will later be joined by Universidad Di Tella. Furthermore, the presence of public universities is guaranteed by law, with plots assigned to the UBA and UTN.
The Innovation Park of Buenos Aires was officially inaugurated on May 15, with the main objective of promoting innovation and collaboration among universities, academics, businesses, entrepreneurs, and the public sector. The concept behind the Park is to create a space where different actors and disciplines converge to drive knowledge generation and the creation of technological solutions applied to various sectors. The Park is positioned as an ecosystem conducive to the development of disruptive ideas, the creation of startups, and the acceleration of innovative projects.
Strategically located in the heart of the city, in the Núñez neighborhood, the Innovation Park will feature modern and advanced facilities such as the +54Lab building, designed to be a center for research, experimentation, and technological development, promoting collaboration and the generation of knowledge. Additionally, it boasts green areas and recreational zones, fostering an environment suitable for collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
ITBA will be present to continue promoting excellent education in science, technology, and management there, where the synergies among different actors will foster knowledge transfer, interaction, and the creation of diverse opportunities for our community.
