Located in the heart of the Innovation Park (Parque de Innovación), and with the presence of its creator, the renowned artist Nicola Costantino, the beautiful masterpiece, “Arbórea Magna,” was unveiled, illuminating the sky with its splendor.
Arbórea Magna was born from a call seeking the perfect fusion of art, design, and architecture to bring an emblematic cultural monument to life in the Innovation Park. Nicola Costantino, with her vast artistic experience both nationally and internationally, managed to capture the essence of this vision by creating a work that is not only aesthetically stunning but also conveys a profound message about regeneration and sustainability. In Nicola Costantino’s words, “an attractive, mysterious, and interesting public monument.”
This sculptural tree, with its imposing 36 meters of height, stands as the new icon of the Park, potentially becoming the new representative sculpture of the City of Buenos Aires, competing with emblematic landmarks like the Women’s Bridge (Puente de la Mujer), the Obelisk, and the Floralis Genérica (Flor at the Law School).
The most notable feature of Arbórea Magna is its play of lights. During the day, its 754 light bulbs change colors, but at nightfall, the monument transforms into a digital spectacle using innovative technologies powered by solar energy. This symbolic and poetic counterpoint encapsulates the duality of the work: the connection between the natural and the technological.
Strategically located in the central corridor of the Innovation Park, Arbórea Magna invites us to immerse ourselves in its sculptural beauty. Surrounded by ramps and viewpoints and featuring a reflective pool (espejo de agua), the tree becomes the symbol that merges nature with technological innovation.
This is Arbórea Magna!
