In September, we initiated the Pre-Project Validation Program for the Future Building to learn in detail about the guidelines that will steer the project for our new campus. This key program has not only been an opportunity to glimpse the physical structure of the Future Building but also to involve multidisciplinary teams representing the various areas of our university. The active participation of these teams provides us with a comprehensive and diverse vision of the needs and aspirations of our community.
The contribution of the more than 50 people who are part of ITBA as collaborators, faculty, and researchers has been invaluable so far, providing a diverse range of knowledge, experiences, and projections that significantly enrich the development of ITBA’s future headquarters in the Innovation Park (Parque de Innovación).
By giving a voice to our collaborators, faculty, and researchers, we are ensuring that the project reflects the needs and aspirations of our entire community and that it is a living testament to our collective vision and commitment to excellence. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a new flexible, integrated, and transparent building where connections and innovation become fundamental pillars.
In this crucial process, we are accompanied by two vital partners: the interior design studio MIA and the architecture firm MSGSSV, who will lead the task of designing and projecting our new home. Their presence in these initial stages guarantees a holistic and harmonious integration between the building’s functionality and aesthetics, thus creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for everyone.
In every meeting and work session taking place, we prioritize the joint identification of opportunities and potential improvements, addressing the fundamental guidelines, the guiding ideas, and the concepts of flexibility, integration, and transparency. This close and constant collaboration has become the fundamental pillar for ensuring that the design and execution of the Future Building are strategically aligned with the needs and aspirations of our entire community. We aspire not only to construct a building but to erect a space that fosters connections, academic excellence, and innovation.
We will continue with this validation process with the commitment to guarantee the technical and functional viability of the project. The path ahead is full of challenges and opportunities, but with the active and enthusiastic participation of our community, we are confident that the future ITBA building will be an example of inspiration and progress in the education building sector.
