The Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) is the first private, secular and non-profit institution to be founded in Argentina with the purpose of specializing in teaching and research in the fields of Engineering, Technology and Management. It was established in 1959 by a group of Naval Officers and businessmen.
ITBA´s mission is to educate professionals in the fields of Engineering, Technology and Management, who are committed to the country´s development and are competitive internationally.
ITBA´s education is strongly based on the fundamental values of:

The university is organized in schools, departments and centers that offer undergraduate and graduate degrees and research programs. Our five-year Engineering degrees are equivalent to European Master level studies:

Minors include: Automotive Engineering; Bioelectronics; Computational Control; Computational Intelligence in Embedded Systems; Imaging Sciences; Industrial Electronics; Information Systems; Materials; Mechatronics; Naval Construction; Naval Maintenance; Signal Processing and Telecommunications.
We also offer an innovative and unique four-year Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration and Information Systems.
At the Graduate level we offer Master´s of Science in: Project Management, Strategic Management of Technology, Telecommunications and Environmental Management and, doctoral programs in Engineering and in Software Engineering. Additionally, we have professional specialization programs in Petroleum and Natural Gas Economics, Petroleum and Natural Gas Production, and Management of the Electricity Market.
Our Executive Education programs specialize in: Economics and Finance; IT; Leadership; Logistics and Manufacturing; Management and Human Resources; Marketing and Commerce; Petroleum, Gas and Energy; and Quality.
ITBA´s enrolment is 1880 undergraduate and 570 graduate students.
ITBA seeks to recruit the very best high school and college graduates in Argentina, admitting an average 55% of those who apply. Approximately 12% of domestic students receive merit-based financial aid from the University.
ITBA maintains academic cooperation with over 500 private enterprises and public bodies and with over 50 universities in 23 countries.
